The Persepolis Reveiw

The heros chapter on page 47 was for me the strongest part of the book i had a reaction to. Simply because the problem with the brutle mentality of the soldiers to the protesters. It also was the strongest part because of the way the used graphics to explain in more depth what was did to those people. on pg 51- 52 it shows what tortures the did to a man for information the was completely crazy.The character in the book to me is different then most kids you see today because of the experiences she has gone through . She knows if she could help with the situation she would but she dont know how because of the lack of information. She wants to do the right thing but the feelings of her parents make hard for her to know how to feel about the situation thats going on in thier life.What made me view her this way is because of how she felt on pages 52 -53 . She doesnt know rather to feel as if as she wants to revolt and put death to the tortuers like her mother or to cry and leave it alone.I chose the preseplolis simply because it was a different kind of set up the the regular books i read. I wanted to know from the brief info we were given on the book before reading what it was about. Also about how was her life impacted by the things she experienced in her time. The book is a nonfiction book which intrigued me also because it someones life experience which gives a look into who they are as a person .The persopolis for me so far is a good book because of the opion and facts it gives from a person whoes family had to go through hard times and experience the feeling of heart ache and losing there personal items to dealing with the change of government.
