One Million Bones
What stuck with me the most about this project was the idea of growth, and learning from our pasts to create better futures. The idea of the bones being made with seeds in them really interested me, that from one death this idea will literally grow, and hopefully have enough of an impact to inspire us and make us really listen. There are so many children and people risking their lives everyday and being put into these situations that we can't even imagine. It's a really powerful message, and it's unique so I think that will strike everyone's attention more than something thats already been done before.
The million bones project also made me think about what art really is, something we've been talking about the past couple weeks. This is a really great example, because it has this crazy intense meaning behind it, and everyone is getting involved and showing their creativity with the intension of conveying a point. That to me is art. As people work together to do this, you come to the realization that we all are the same in so many ways. We all have potential and we all fight for things we believe in.
I believe in people, sometimes to a fault haha. But I agree with what she said about the two little boys and what they could have acheived if they had ever been given the chance (they deserve) to grow up. It makes me want to fight for the ones that are still out there and suffering, nobody is worthy of that kind of pain. Nobody should have to lose their families and their right to live... And so lets make bones!
