Mollys Question : In true notebooks all the characters are from diffrent cultures. Francisco, Jimmy and Kevin are all from the rough life style but diffrent cultures so they have to deal with all these diffrent people unlike but like themselves on a daily basis. Mark doesnt know slang or the terms they use in the Juvenile Hall but they explain to him what the sayings and things mean. I work at a retail store where lots of diffrent types of people come in and they have diffrent tastes in clothing (mostly the older folks) an asian guy in his mid thirties would look at me like im crazy if i try to get him to purchase a South Pole shirt, but then it all depends on what he likes, what he's used to, Because he may be a man who wears dresses. I wouldn't know cause you can look a certain way but come from a totally diffrent place. In my neighbor hood we have mostly whites and blacks, and a few mexicans. Our neighbors all got along but then we got some section 8 people on our street. They aren't used to taking care of lawns or keeping our streets clean and its a mess. Because you move these people into environments they don't fit in and everything just...I don't know.
Luis's Question: In the story the guards have their doubts that the boys won't write and they laugh as if its a joke. I'm sure the three of them have their doubts as well about opening up to Mark who is a stranger and they know nothing of him. They may not wanna feel weak in front of each other or too soft. I try not to doubt things if something is suppose to happen then it'll happen but If I do its only small things like if my dad says he's not going to give me something, I know he will so I don't know if thats the same, because when he said no I doubted it, because i knew it was a yes.
hah i like that last comparisn with your dada and how you doubt hes not goign to give you what he wants, and yea i never really thought about how the guards are doubting them alot, so its like a big triangle of doubt between mark the threee juviniles and the guards
