The book I am reading is the complete Persepolis. The main character in this book name is Marjane Strapi, her story was about how she had to live during the revolutionaries and the main thing that stuck out to me is that she wanted to be a prophet… the first prophet. I also thought as a child she had so much faith, like what kid would stay up at night and just talk to god and not care what anyone else says. Also when she was in school her teacher said ‘what do you want to be when you grow up?” she says “I want to be a prophet the first one” so that’s the most interesting thing to me about this character
I chose this book because it looked very interesting and first off I’ve never heard of it in the first place… or the movie, and I also thought that when she lied to her friends and said “my mom’s cooking good dinner today” I thought that was reflection on how her school life was… it made me think of kids today when they have to lie to impress someone and that’s what I thought she was doing. Also I thought that her dad wasn’t telling her all she needed to know about what’s going on around them and their town.
As well I feel that there is a lack of connections in the two answers because I felt that it was a little confused because the author went off and started talking about other people from different nations so I didn’t really understand that much of what was going on… if I start to re read the book again I might be able to understand it more. But over all if I was to re read it again (which I am) I would understand it more. So that how my two answers lack connections.
And remember one can forgive, but one should never forget.
Hey everyone. The book that I am reading is True Notebook a writer’s year at juvenile hall. I choose this book because I feel that I would really get into it and it would keep me interested, because I really don’t like reading that much anyway. There is this character in my book that I’m really starting to get into. His name is Raashad. We both have something common. At the begging of the book on page 5, chapter 1 he share his story of his fiancé Amika calling him in juvenile telling him her gave birth to beautiful baby girl. Now of course I don’t have a fiancé lol. But I did give birth to a beautiful baby boy. Ok now some people really don’t know what type of affect that a new born baby can have. How much joy that, little bitty child can bring to your life. That baby can really change him; cause my son change my life 180 edges. I think now that he knows he have a little girl in the world and going to change n really try to get out of the juvenile hall. Now once Amika start to send him pictures of the baby and see the baby for the first time will maybe bring tears to his eyes. He may be thinking about what she’s like, and what her laugh like .it just so more that I can say because I know the feeling. It’s beautiful. A child can change you n you don’t even know it. Also baby can change a person for the worst to but to me I really think it would change him for the good. One more thing all the kids that’s in my book they like 17-19, and for him to have a fiancé is good so that show that’s he’s committed
