My message in a bottle - (stuck on an island)
To whoever finds this I want you to know how important you are to me, even if I don't know you. Life is an amazing gift many people take for granted, I regret things I've taking for granted because now that it's my last chance to enjoy these things I've figured out just how much they mean to me. It doesn't matter who you are or where your from, these are things we all share as human beings.. we love, we cry, we can be angry and sometimes we can be so happy it hurts. Even if I'm left with nothing I will still have this, and it connects us all as individuals because it is something we all share, nobody is alone in that sense. Nobody can take that from us. So after I'm gone, keep going and stay golden!

The boys in True Notebooks must feel completely misunderstood, everyone, even people they don't know, view them as criminals and no-good. It just adds on to the problem though, because it brings them down and makes them feel bad about themselves until they don't feel misunderstood anymore and they really believe the things people say about them.
Times I have felt misunderstood have been when I couldnt explain myself the right way, and people kept putting my ideas down because they didn't understand the direction I was coming from. In high school my teachers would come at me and ask questions like, where do you want to end up? What are your goals? - But when I told them I didn't know, they took that as I don't care. I really did care, I just couldn't answer that question the way they wanted me to, because I didn't have a clear passion for something back then.
