Charlie "C.J."
My first impression of the book, True Notebooks, was one of intrest. The idea of reading the thoughts of a juvenile convict(s) was one that I had not yet explored. I was almost sent there when I was younger so this topic has a somewhat real affect on me. I,as a perfectly law abiding citizen, (note the sarcasm) have a somewhat negitive view of most of the characters. But that is a close minded view. I do not yet know why the characters I have read about thus far are in prision or much about their backround. I guess that would be the reason I chose this book. I always to make it a point as a director to view everyone's point of view as much and as evenly as possible. Which is why, I think, I felt a connection with the author/narrator. There have been many situations in my life where I was reluctant to want to do something that in my mind I deemed dangerous. In terms of noteing the author's reluctance, I really did notice it on page 10, chapter 2, where he opens the paragraph with "the touble started..." and there is more but I am out of time...

I agrree I ike to view others opinoins as well by being raised with strict parents and in the suburbs I'm not sure what everyone else in the world is doing or how things are or were in their home or life.. so im interested in seeing how this story goes.
