Question responses day 5

Jauvannie -

In Percepolis, Marji's uncle Annosh is the one who seems to inspire her most in her young life.
She is constantly asking him questions abut his life in jail, and his many stories. And she seems to be so incredibly intruiged that she stays up asking him to her her more and more. I think that he inspires her and gives her ideas that their may be some hope for her country and that she can help.

In my life, many friends, past aqquantances, and past friends or random people that I've met have inspired me. However it's not always constant and sometimes it fades.

Maddy -

In the beggining of Percepolis the main character Marji doesn't really suffer any harsh realities or too many deaths, so I don't think that has effected her. However she is a witness to all of the violence and enforcement of religion in the Iranian government. Which obviously makes her want to rebell against the system. Although she is very young and doesn't completely comprehend everything she's seeing and acts out in some wrong ways. Such as the time when she found nails and had her friends run around with them between their fingers scaring other children.

Throughout my life I've dealt with negative things different depending on the situation, so this question is hard to answer. I suppose it has effected who I am today in some ways, but I think that it all depends on your maturity level as to how you react to negative incidents.

As you get older you learn from your mistakes and hopefully grow from them.
