
I'm still thinking about today's class discussion. Great job, guys! I think you really tackled those "big ideas" we've been talking about; you're really connecting the dots between what you're reading and what you're hearing/experiencing.
Our talk reminded me of this article, written my Marjane Satrapi, that was published in the New York Times in 2005. It really grapples with many of the themes we've been discussing: misperception, generalization, stereotyping, etc. If you get a chance, you should read it. Feel free to "comment" on this post. Satrapi just made me start eating french fries again and stop eating freedom fries. Nothing was free about them anyway lol. I also understand however how she is basicly a revolutionist when it comes to all of us being alike.
