So far in my book true notebook there is really no racial thing going on it’s just almost Latino in the book. And for me I really don’t have to fight with the culture around because the people that I know don’t have a problem with other race. I’m just cool with any and everyone and if they don’t like me because of my race then who cares. My life will go on, I don’t have time to deal with people who is so closed minded. And to CJ’s question I can say that preconceptions has a big effect on any and everybody, because its only what u know and what you have been taught that can make you who you are. And a lot of people do it. My characters in my book talk about the Latinos a lot n I kind of made a preconception about them. I don’t want to say but I know I was wrong. I also made a preconception about the books, I just knew that the book was going to be boring and I wouldn’t read them. But when I got the book and started to read it I was soooo wring about it, I couldn’t even put the book down lol. I never read this much because to me I don’t like to read. There were a time when I had a white friend n every time she came around I would think that she would all ways try to make me feel dumb around her. Like I was just a stupid black girl but one day it didn’t seem that way and she needed my help with something one day I felt good the felt bogus for thinking that about her.
